The Starling

“Hope starts small”

A starling has claimed the garden behind Lilly Maynard's (Melissa McCarthy) house, and it swoops at her whenever she comes near the vegetable patch. Her husband Jack (Chris O'Dowd) has stopped looking for a way through the loss they share, while Theodore Melfi keeps the two of them in the same rooms and the same silence. Lilly, meanwhile, keeps going back out to face the bird, and to the garden, alone.
