The Stationmaster Meets His Match

Nobody in town expects anything from Bendegúz (Imre Olvasztó), a teenager who has failed at everything and heard the same wish about his birth from nearly everyone. He quits school and takes a job grazing the Stationmaster's (Róbert Koltai) cows beside the railway. Sándor Mihályfy follows him through one botched task after another, yet his cheerfulness holds, and the film treats that as worth more than getting things right.
