(1973)Directed by Mircea Veroiu, Dan Pița81 minDrama

Fefeleaga (Leopoldina Bălănuță) is a widow who works herself ragged, hauling what she has to afford to keep her sick daughter Paunita (Nina Doniga) alive. A second story follows two wandering singers who take a bride from her own wedding. Dan Pița and Mircea Veroiu film both tales in the same slow, unhurried pace, so the work and the wandering feel equally long.
