The Story of Vickie

A young woman called Vickie is crowned Queen of England and finds the throne comes with a long list of duties no one has taught her. Princess Victoria (Romy Schneider) is lively and headstrong, and Lord Melbourne (Karl Ludwig Diehl), the Prime Minister, is the one who has to guide her. Ernst Marischka sets her first months against the court around her, where a wrong step with the crown is a matter of state.
