The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Miss Osbourne

(1981)Directed by Walerian Borowczyk92 minHorror
“Evil runs rampant against the laws of human restraint!”

Someone slips into the engagement party of Dr. Henry Jekyll (Udo Kier) and Miss Fanny Osbourne (Marina Pierro) in 19th century London, and the evening turns into murder and debauchery. Walerian Borowczyk reworks Stevenson's 1886 novella into a single night in one household, where the guests and the General (Patrick Magee) cannot tell who is among them. Fanny is bound to Jekyll by the engagement, and whatever has entered the house is already between them.
