The Stranger
Meursault (Benjamin Voisin) is a quiet clerk in Algiers in 1938, a man in his early thirties who goes to his mother's funeral and does not cry. The next day he starts an affair with Marie (Rebecca Marder), a colleague from work, and goes back to his usual routine. François Ozon adapts Camus's 1942 novel, and a man who has shown no grief has now put himself where others will judge it.
