The Street with No Name

“Counter Attack!”

Gene Cordell (Mark Stevens) is a young FBI agent sent into the Skid Row of "Center City" under the name George Manly, after two gang killings and the murder of a framed suspect released on bail. William Keighley shoots the case in a semidocumentary style, following Inspector Briggs (Lloyd Nolan) as he builds it. Alec Stiles (Richard Widmark) runs the gang like a business and takes Gene on, and that places the agent at his elbow.
