The Substitute

“Nobody is saved alone.”

Lucio (Juan Minujín), a university professor, takes a job as a substitute teacher at a high school in the Buenos Aires suburbs where he grew up. He hands the class tales, novels and poetry to pull their attention off the hard lives waiting outside, until a local drug kingpin threatens one of his students, Dilan. Diego Lerman puts Lucio in a place he thought he had left, and it asks for more than a teacher is paid to give.
