The Sum of Us

“We're all just... The Sum of Us.”

Harry Mitchell (Jack Thompson), a widowed Australian father, wants to find a new woman to share his house and his life. His son Jeff (Russell Crowe), in his twenties and gay, wants the same thing in a man, and neither keeps the search from the other. Kevin Dowling and Geoff Burton let both men talk straight into the camera, and the film is built on how easily a father and son can say it all to each other.
