The Sunlit Night

“Find your height at the top of the world.”

A job in a remote Norwegian village has pulled Frances (Jenny Slate), a painter from New York, away from her life at home, and the work is a barn that needs painting. The locals are eccentric, and another New Yorker, Yasha (Alex Sharp), turns up working beside her. David Wnendt sets a lost painter among strangers and lets the film suggest that we are often found by the people we never planned to meet.
