The Surgeon of the Rusty Knife

Zé Arigó (Danton Mello) is an ordinary man in Congonhas, Minas Gerais, who wants nothing more than a quiet life with his wife Arlete (Juliana Paes). In the 1950s, before Spiritism is widely known or respected in Brazil, people begin coming to him for cures. Gustavo Fernández follows him as the spirit of Dr. Fritz works through his hands, and the man who never asked to be a symbol learns what that hope will cost him.
