The Swarm

Virginie (Suliane Brahim) is a single mother trying to keep her farm afloat by raising locusts as a protein-rich food, but the colony barely breeds. When she discovers the insects have a taste for blood, she begins feeding them her own. Just Philippot keeps Virginie in close frame, her arms marked and her daughter and the locust sheds never far behind her.
