The Swindle

“SOME PEOPLE DON’T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT YOUR DAUGHTERS' WELFARE!”

Augusto (Broderick Crawford) and his two younger partners, Roberto, who dreams of becoming the Italian Johnny Ray, and Carlo (Richard Basehart), nicknamed Picasso, work the Italian countryside as small-time swindlers. Federico Fellini follows the three from one mark to the next. Personal entanglements start to pull at Augusto, no longer young, and the whole life he has built on the con is what he stands to lose.
