The Tale of the White Serpent

“The adventures of a cute little panda, a dragon god and an evil serpent.”

A small boy is made to free his pet snake, never guessing she is the snake goddess Bai-Niang (Mariko Miyagi), who has already fallen for him. Years later she takes human form and goes looking for Xu-Xian (Hisaya Morishige), only for the village wizard to take her for a vampire and drive him out. Taiji Yabushita's film sends the pet pandas after him with a gang of animals, and the love between a girl and a snake is told as a plain, wholehearted fairy tale.
