The Talented Mr. Ripley

“How far would you go to become someone else.”

Tom Ripley (Matt Damon) is a young man with nothing of his own, and he decides it is better to be a fake somebody than a real nobody. A rich shipbuilder sends him to Italy in the 1950s to bring home his playboy son Dickie (Jude Law), and Tom settles into the sun, the boats and the circle around Dickie and his girlfriend Marge (Gwyneth Paltrow). Anthony Minghella follows him as he lies his way closer to a life that was never his, and every new lie costs him more.
