The Talk of the Town

(1942)Directed by George Stevens118 minComedy, Drama, Romance
“Three people who make life more exciting... love more precious... laughter more joyous!”

Leopold Dilg (Cary Grant), a fugitive wrongly accused of a crime, slips into the house of his childhood friend Nora Shelley (Jean Arthur) to hide. She has just rented the place to Michael Lightcap (Ronald Colman), a law teacher of strict principle, and now all three are living under one roof. George Stevens keeps the comedy brisk and the household noisy, with Grant, Arthur and Colman trading the room back and forth.
