The Taming of the Shrew
“The motion picture they were made for!”
Petruchio (Richard Burton), a poor landowner from Verona, rides into Padua in the 16th century looking for a wife with money. He finds Baptista's two daughters, and Baptista won't let the charming Bianca (Natasha Pyne) marry until her sharp-tongued sister Katherina (Elizabeth Taylor) does. Franco Zeffirelli fills the Paduan streets with crowds and noise, and stages the courtship like an opera.
