Dodin Bouffant (Benoît Magimel) is a chef in 1889 France who has spent years cooking beside Eugénie (Juliette Binoche), his personal cook and lover, and he wants her to marry him. She keeps refusing, so he decides to do what he has never done and cook a meal for her. Trần Anh Hùng follows the two of them through their kitchen, and what Dodin is really after is a yes.
