The Tender Bar

“Between the ones who love you and the ones who leave you is the journey of a lifetime.”

JR Maguire grows up without a father on Long Island, and he wants one badly enough to borrow from every man who will have him. Most of them stand behind the bar where his Uncle Charlie (Ben Affleck) pours drinks and hands out advice, while JR's mother Dorothy (Lily Rabe) works to get her son the opportunities she never had. George Clooney keeps the film close to the boy and the one man who treats him like a son.
