The Tender Trap

(1955)Directed by Charles Walters111 minMusic, Comedy, Romance
“What every girl sets for every man”

Julie Gillis (Debbie Reynolds), a young actress, turns up in Manhattan and starts flirting demurely with Charlie Y. Reader (Frank Sinatra), a swinging bachelor who thinks he has it made. Charles Walters, working from the play by Max Shulman and Robert Paul Smith, fills the CinemaScope frame with Charlie's parties and the women who keep drifting through his door. Charlie likes his life exactly as it is, and the film is about how long he can keep it that way.
