The Terrace

Mario Dorazio (Vittorio Gassman) is a film producer in Rome, one of a circle of old friends from the intellectual upper class who keep ending up on the same terrace. Among them are Amedeo (Ugo Tognazzi) and Enrico D'Orsi (Jean-Louis Trintignant), each carrying his own age and disappointments into the evening. Ettore Scola weaves their separate stories into a single ensemble, passing from one guest to the next.
