“What you know about fear... doesn't even come close.”

Five friends drive through rural Texas in 1973, headed toward a concert, when they pick up a young hitchhiker in shock. Erin (Jessica Biel) and Morgan (Jonathan Tucker) soon find themselves hunted by Thomas Hewitt, known as Leatherface (Andrew Bryniarski), and the family he lives with. Marcus Nispel shoots the heat and dust in a bleached, grimy palette, and the dread is a nerve held tight for the whole running time.
