The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
“What you know about fear...doesn't even come close.”
A van carrying five young travelers breaks down on a remote Texas back road in 1973, and they seek help at a nearby house. Inside they find a family living in squalor, and Thomas Hewitt (Andrew Bryniarski), a masked man with a chainsaw, who begins hunting them through the property. Nispel shoots the film in bleached-out color and tight frames that collapse the space around the characters, trapping them in the machinery of his own mise-en-scène.
