“"Happiness Must Be Earned"”

A nameless thief in Bagdad, The Thief of Bagdad (Douglas Fairbanks), has never owned anything he didn't steal until he sees the Caliph's daughter, The Princess (Julanne Johnston). Her father will give her to whichever suitor brings back the rarest treasure after seven moons, and the thief sets off on a magical journey. Raoul Walsh's silent adaptation of the Arabian Nights is about wanting a woman badly enough to become someone else.
