The Thing

“Anytime. Anywhere. Anyone.”

An American research station in Antarctica discovers a shapeshifter in their midst, an alien organism that wears the bodies of the men it kills. MacReady (Kurt Russell), the helicopter pilot, watches his colleagues drop one by one and can no longer tell who remains human. Carpenter builds the paranoia from inside, and by the end MacReady sits alone in the ice, certain of nothing, not even himself.
