The Thing

“Anytime. Anywhere. Anyone.”

A Norwegian helicopter chases a dog across the Antarctic ice, firing at it, and the dog ends up inside an American research station. John Carpenter puts the team through the winter shut in together, among them the helicopter pilot MacReady (Kurt Russell) and the biologist Blair (Wilford Brimley), once they learn the animal can take the shape of whatever it kills. MacReady has to decide which of the men sharing his bunkroom he can still believe.
