The Third Generation

Rudolf Mann (Harry Baer) belongs to a small underground cell of West German radicals who talk about revolution far more often than they carry it out. Rainer Werner Fassbinder shot the film himself, and the group's plan to kidnap an industrialist stays mostly a matter of conversation. The government that should be hunting them has found a use for them, because frightened citizens will accept almost any law.
