The Thirteenth Tale

Margaret (Olivia Colman) is a biographer who has been asked, against her own doubts, to write the life of Vida Winter (Vanessa Redgrave), a famous writer known for giving a different account of herself to every interviewer. She travels to Vida's isolated rural mansion to hear the real version, and the story she is told about a dark childhood begins to press on a painful past of her own. James Kent films the house and its secrets as a gothic mystery for BBC Two.
