The Three-Sided Mirror
One man is loved by three women, and the film cannot say which of them knew him. Pearl (Olga Day), Athalia (Suzy Pierson) and Lucie (Jeanne Helbling) each remember him differently: a wealthy young businessman, an Englishwoman, a Russian sculptress, a girl from the working class. Jean Epstein, adapting Paul Morand's story, gives each memory its own version of the same man, and Lucie waits inside hers.
