The Ties

One evening in Naples in the early 1980s, Aldo (Luigi Lo Cascio) tells his wife Vanda (Alba Rohrwacher) that he has been unfaithful, and nobody has asked him anything. Vanda keeps her hurt from their two school-age kids, so the cramped apartment still looks like a home. Daniele Luchetti follows the family thirty years on, when Aldo (Silvio Orlando) and Vanda (Laura Morante) are still bound together and the children are still paying for that evening.
