(1985)Directed by Hou Hsiao-hsien136 min · PGDrama

A family crosses over from mainland China to Taiwan and settles in Fengshan, in Kaohsiung. Ah Ha (Yu An-shun) grows up there beside his father, Hou Fen Ming (Tien Feng), and his mother (Tang Ru-Yun), in a house that never quite becomes a home. Hou Hsiao-hsien draws on his own boyhood and lets the years pass at the unhurried pace of remembering.
