The Tingler

“Ghastly Beyond Belief!”

In 1959, pathologist Dr. Warren Chapin (Vincent Price) runs autopsies on people who died of fear, and he comes to believe that each of us carries an organism along the spine. He calls it the Tingler, and he thinks only a scream keeps it from tightening its grip. William Castle puts Chapin's research in front of Martha Higgins (Judith Evelyn), a woman who cannot scream at all.
