The Towering Inferno

“One tiny spark becomes a night of blazing suspense.”

The night the city's tallest skyscraper opens, its owners throw a party for the guests on the top floors. Architect Doug Roberts (Paul Newman) has already noticed that the building was put together with cheaper work than he designed, and then the fire starts. John Guillermin sends fire chief O'Hallorhan (Steve McQueen) into a tower packed with partygoers, with the flames spreading and no way down but the one the fire controls.
