The Track

A young English tourist, Helen Wells (Mimsy Farmer), is assaulted by two men somewhere in the French countryside, and a group of local hunters decides that she must not be allowed to tell anyone. They go after her on foot through open country, Michel Constantin and Jean-Pierre Marielle among the men with guns. Serge Leroy sets one woman against a whole party of ordinary neighbors, and the scandal they protect matters more to them than a stranger's life.
