The Traffic Policeman

Otello Celletti (Alberto Sordi) has no work, so he takes a job directing traffic in the big city, white gloves on and whistle ready. Then he starts enforcing the rules, and the people who ride in the biggest cars turn out to be the ones he least wants to stop. Luigi Zampa plays it as a commedia all'italiana, with Sordi's earnest, put-upon face doing most of the talking.
