The Trail of the Lonesome Pine

“The Technicolor spectacle that blazes the trail to an all-time high in adventure!”

In the Kentucky mountains, two clans have been feuding for longer than anyone cares to remember. Jack Hale (Fred MacMurray) arrives to survey for coal and finds himself drawn to June Tolliver (Sylvia Sidney), whose family sits on one side of the fight, while her kinsman Dave (Henry Fonda) sits close by. Henry Hathaway shot much of it outdoors in early Technicolor, putting the actors among real hills and real pines.
