The Trigger Effect

“When nothing works, anything goes.”

The power goes out across a Southern California suburb, and Matthew (Kyle MacLachlan) and Annie (Elisabeth Shue) find the phones dead and the streets thick with strangers by nightfall. Their friend Joe (Dermot Mulroney) arrives, and the neighbors begin to turn on each other over what little is left. David Koepp keeps it to a single night, with every hour lowering the cost of what a person will do to protect their own.
