The Trotsky

“The revolution begins in high school”

In Montreal West, Leon Bronstein (Jay Baruchel) is a high school student who believes he is the reincarnation of Leon Trotsky. His father sends him to public school as punishment for a hunger strike at the family clothing factory, and Leon turns up ready to organize the students. Jacob Tierney plays all of it dead straight, so a boy's certainty about his own destiny is taken seriously, however ridiculous it looks from the outside.
