The Trouble with Girls

“Elvis crosses the country...into trouble! trouble! trouble!”

Walter Hale (Elvis Presley) runs a traveling Chautauqua troupe through small-town America, and he spends most of his days keeping the whole outfit from coming apart. His business manager stays loyal, but the town committees, the performers and a young woman named Charlene (Marlyn Mason) each pull him in a different direction. Peter Tewksbury films the tent shows and main streets in an easy, sunlit way, giving the road the look of a place worth stopping.
