The Truth

Lumir (Juliette Binoche) flies from New York to Paris with her husband Hank (Ethan Hawke) and their young daughter, arriving for the publication of her mother's memoirs. Fabienne Dangeville (Catherine Deneuve) is a star of French cinema, adored by the men around her, and Lumir suspects the book leaves out as much as it tells. Hirokazu Kore-eda gathers the family, and if the old resentments are named aloud, mother and daughter may lose each other.
