The Two Faces of Dr. Jekyll

“LIKE NOTHING YOU HAVE EVER SEEN!”

Dr. Henry Jekyll (Paul Massie) is a gentle, generous man whose experiments aim to free the inner self and bring human personality under control. Terence Fisher follows him through the work until it succeeds, and the self that comes loose is Edward Hyde, a sadistic creature whose pleasure is murder. Fisher gives Massie two faces, Jekyll and Hyde, and the film stays on the changing man himself.
