The Ugly Stepsister

“If the shoe doesn't fit...”

Elvira (Lea Myren) wants the Prince's attention, and in a kingdom where beauty is sold like a trade, she has to compete against her stepsister Agnes (Thea Sofie Loch Næss). Her mother Rebekka (Ane Dahl Torp) backs the scheme, and Elvira agrees to whatever it takes. Emilie Blichfeldt retells the Cinderella story from the stepsister's side, and the film shows plainly what a girl is made to do to her own body for a stranger's approval.
