The Ugly Swans

Viktor Banev (Gregory Hlady), a writer, gets himself onto a UN commission so he can reach Tashlinsk, a remote town where a virus is said to have produced a race of brilliant mutants. His young daughter Ira (Rimma Sarkisyan) is a student at the town's school for gifted children, which the mutants have taken over. Konstantin Lopushansky adapts the Strugatsky brothers' novel, and Viktor goes in as a father first, an investigator second.
