In Montreal in 1977, the horror writer Wilbur Gray (Peter Cushing) brings a manuscript to his publisher Frank Richards (Ray Milland). It holds his belief that cats are supernatural creatures who run the world. Denis Héroux builds the film from the three stories Wilbur tells to be believed, and Wilbur sits across the desk, desperate and certain no one will listen.
