The Unfaithful

“It's So Easy to Cry 'SHAME'!”

Christine Hunter (Ann Sheridan) wants her marriage to Bob (Zachary Scott) to survive the night an intruder dies by her hand. She tells Bob and the family lawyer, Larry Hannaford (Lew Ayres), that it was self-defense, and they believe her. Vincent Sherman follows the story from there, and the question of who the dead man really was falls to Christine, who has to keep answering for him.
