“Old flame. New mission.”

Mike McKenna (Mark Wahlberg) is a New Jersey construction worker whose days are steady and ordinary, until his high school sweetheart Roxanne Hall (Halle Berry) turns up after years away. She recruits him for an espionage mission, and Julian Farino sends a regular guy into a spy's world with a crew that includes Tom Brennan (J.K. Simmons). Under the chases and the jokes sits a plain question: whether a man can still become someone new when he's no longer young.
