The Unknown Soldier

Koskela (Kosti Klemelä) is a machine gun company officer in eastern Finland in the summer of 1941. He only wants to carry out his orders, though the order of the day is to hand in the company's surplus equipment, and then they are sent to the front. Edvin Laine follows these ordinary soldiers into the Continuation War, which begins the next morning with the sound of guns.
