The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry
“Hope is a journey.”
Harold Fry (Jim Broadbent) is a retired man in his sixties who has let the big things slip, as a husband, a father and a friend, and is content to fade into the background of his own house. When he hears that his old friend Queenie is dying in a hospice 450 miles away, he walks out to post her a letter and keeps going. Hettie Macdonald stays close to Harold as he goes, one pair of ordinary shoes at a time, with Maureen (Penelope Wilton) waiting at home.
