The Unsinkable Molly Brown

(1964)Directed by Charles Walters128 minComedy
“Get out of the way... or get hit in the heart!”

Molly Brown (Debbie Reynolds) survived a flood as a baby, and sixteen years later she sets out to make her way in the world. She talks her way into a Leadville saloon, claiming she can sing and play the piano, then marries Johnny Brown (Harve Presnell) with a cigar wrapper for a ring. Charles Walters follows the Browns from Colorado to the courts of Europe, and the story keeps asking how far a girl with no money and no manners can climb.
