The Upturned Glass

(1947)Directed by Lawrence Huntington86 minCrime, Drama
“A Powerful NEW Drama of a Mad Love!”

A woman is dead after a fall from a window, and the only person who doubts it was an accident is the man who loved her. Michael Joyce (James Mason), a neurosurgeon, tells the story to a lecture hall of students, starting with an affair with a married woman and ending with the suspect he decides not to give to the police. Lawrence Huntington keeps James Mason at the center of it, the surgeon's steady hands and level voice at odds with what he is planning.
