The V.I.P.s

“THIS IS THE STORY OF ONE DRAMATIC, DEVASTATING NIGHT ...in the glamorous private world of the very rich, the very famous, the very beautiful, the very powerful ...the "Very Important Persons"!”

Frances Andros (Elizabeth Taylor) is a wealthy woman at Heathrow with a flight to catch and a decision she has already made about her marriage to Paul Andros (Richard Burton). Fog closes the airport, and she waits out the delay among other rich travelers, each carrying a private trouble of their own. Anthony Asquith lets these people drift between the lounge and the hotel, while Frances has until the fog lifts to see what she will do.
