Luisa Llorente (Silvia Abascal), who assesses the taxes on old buildings, goes to the Victorian mansion Valdemar to inventory who owns what, and she does not come back. Her employer hires a private detective, Nicolás Tremel (Óscar Jaenada), and José Luis Alemán sends him into a house that has swallowed people before. Nicolás works through the rooms looking for her, and the longer he searches, the more he is searching for someone he never met.
